Manufacturing

From idea to finished piece.

From vision to jewellery.

Arché develops club jewellery to personal specification — individual cuffs, cufflinks and accessories, on request as a personalised collection for your entire house. Club cuffs arose from the idea of translating belonging to a club, a society or a special place into a wearable form.

In collaboration with Schiefer & Co. in Hamburg, crests, colours, initials, engravings and material requests are reviewed for feasibility and brought into an appropriate execution. Schiefer & Co. has worked in precious metals since 1923, combining goldsmithing experience with alloys and surface finishing.

Thus a first idea becomes a piece of jewellery aligned with occasion, wearer and desired execution.

The workshop

With experience drawn from over a century.

ARCHÉ works with experienced goldsmiths to realise bespoke jewellery according to design, specification and desired execution. Every form is assessed for proportion, wearability and technical feasibility.

Engravings, enamel details, surfaces and material gauges are carefully coordinated before a piece is made. This is how an idea becomes jewellery that is clear in design and precise in craftsmanship.

Precious metal

Alloys to requirement.

Alloying means fusing fine metal in the crucible with precisely measured additions. Pure gold is too soft for jewellery — only the alloy gives it hardness, colour and character. Copper warms the tone towards rose gold, silver and palladium lighten it to white gold, and the fineness sets the hallmark: 585 stands for 585 parts of gold per thousand.

As a house with its own refinery, we alloy ourselves — from AG 935 silver to AU 585 in white, rose or yellow. And when a club asks for a tone of its own, we create the alloy to order: colour, hardness and workability are tuned, melted and drawn into sheet, wire or profile until the material suits the piece.

On request, Suomi placer gold from Lapland: panned by hand, only 25–40 kilograms per season across all of Lapland — every bracelet with its own certificate.
